Sahara is a nonprofit organization that was established in the year 1986, registered in the year 1988 under Public Societies Registration Act and registered under FCRA. It has a General Body and Executive Committee. The members are from different backgrounds such as Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Social Workers, businessmen and from different walks of life. The founder members, who are from middle class background had come up in their life with lot of hardship and struggle and felt the need of helping others who are now struggling to come up in their life, especially, underprivileged and socially victimized sections of the society, the poor and needy.
 
 
MISSION
OBJECTIVES

To serve the poor and needy especially in rural areas/urban slums enabling them to come up in their life.


To empower women, support aged and to play a catalytic role for education and development of poor children, uplift of underprivileged communities, awareness of health and hygiene and protection of environment.

- Helping the marginalized groups who are struggling to come up in their life especially children and socially victimized sections of the society, poor and needy.

- To build up partnership with national and international funding agencies for implementing of projects in rural areas and urban slums of Hyderabad for the benefit of marginalized groups.

  • Agriculture Development-Agricultural extension and Training and provision of irrigation facilities.
  • Formation and Strengthening of SHGs for women and disabled.
  • Aged Care programmes-counseling, guidance and implementation through a network of grass root level NGOs in A.P
  • Sanitation and personal Hygiene for rural poor.
  • Bore-wells for drinking water in villages.
  • Support to handicapped for income generation activities.
  • Employment counseling and guidance for poor women in Hyderabad city.
  • Youth-Self employment and counseling services.
  • Grow more trees & Environment Protection.
  • Population Control - Let every family adopt it.
