In the saga of Social service, voluntary effort, civil society movement, Sahara traversed 15 years of its cherished innings beaming into its bright futuristic events.
The humble and service minded founders of Sahara started its activities way back in the year 1986. The joyous event occurred when Sahara was registered on the 29th Dec'1988 under the Public Societies Registration Act at Hyderabad to get the official stamp of a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO). Thus, Sahara celebrates its anniversary on 29th December every year in the service of the poor and needy.
Sahara, inter alia, is working for seven concern areas - child care, women development, youth services, aged care, environment protection, agriculture & rural development and prevention of HIV/AIDS pandemic:
